[00:18.04]Mr. Richards of the National Music School.

[00:21.77]Richards, everyone knows that

[00:24.20]the young Mozart was a talented child.

[00:26.83]But what does that mean exactly?

[00:29.97]Well,to give you an idea,

[00:32.32]by the time he was six years old,

[00:35.05]Mozart could already play the keyboard

[00:37.76]and the violin.

[00:39.00]And he could read a piece of music

[00:40.85]just one time and play it immediately.

[00:45.03]And he could invent pieces of music

[00:47.02]in the style of famous composers.

[00:49.94]Could he write music at an early age as well?

[00:53.50]Yes, he could.

[00:55.02]He was amazing.

[00:56.67]When he was six years old

[00:58.63]he wrote five short piano pieces that

[01:01.12]people still play today.

[01:03.44]He wrote music for the violin when he was seven

[01:07.03]a long piece of music at the age of eight and

[01:10.31]even a comic opera at the age of twelve.

[01:14.01]When he was fourteen,

[01:15.79]he went for a performance in Rome.

[01:18.64]This is a difficult piece

[01:20.86]for many different voices.

[01:23.07]We don't know how he did it,

[01:24.84]but that same night

[01:25.94]he wrote down the whole piece from memory.
