With 96 per cent of votes counted in the second round Mr Bolsonaro won 55.5 per cent of the vote against leftist Fernando Haddad of the Workers' Party. Mr Bolsonaro's sudden rise was propelled by the rejection of the Leftist Workers Party, ousted two years ago in the midst of the country's worst recession and corruption scandal.

And Cricket Australia's cultural review into the South African ball tampering scandal will be made public today. The report looks at culture on and off the field in the wake of the scandal, which resulted in suspensions for David Warner, Steven Smith and Cameron Bancroft.
