Two men have been charged with terrorism offences following raids across Sydney last weekend. A 49-year-old man from Lakemba and a 32-year-old Punchbowl man have each been charged with two counts of preparing for, or planning, a terrorist attack. Both men are due to face Parramatta local court. Another man from Surry Hills remains in police custody.

The Commonwealth Bank is potentially facing a massive fine after being accused of breaking money-laundering and terror financing laws. The federal government's financial intelligence unit launched civil penalty proceedings against the bank in the federal court. If found guilty, the maximum fine could be close to a trillion dollars.

CRIcket players will retain a pay structure that gives them a cut of the money made by the game. The deal comes after a long and bitter pay dispute which cast a cloud over this summer's Ashes series. Under the agreement, payments to female players will increase by almost 50 million dollars.

And Brazilian soccer star Neymar is set to become the world's most expensive footballer with a move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain worth 333 million dollars. The transfer fee would be more than double the previous record set last year by Frenchman Paul Pogba.
